The College of Veterinary Medicine is honored to welcome you to its official website. This platform serves as a gateway to essential information regarding our college, including our administrative structure, events, and the veterinary teaching and learning systems available to students, faculty, and the broader community.
Since its establishment in 2022, our college has newly established. We currently support over more than 100 full-time undergraduate students.
Our Veterinary Teaching Hospital is soon will be opened by our University well-regarded for its advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, providing compassionate care to animals and their owners.

Our Vision
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the Salahaddin University aspires to achieve excellence and innovation in veterinary medicine in alignment with international standards. We aim to become a national and regional Improvable in veterinary education, research, and service, ensuring the health of domestic and pet animals as well as welfare of animals, the development of livestock, and the promotion of a sustainable and healthy environment.
Our Mission
Our mission is to prepare highly skilled veterinary graduates and scientific professionals equipped to contribute effectively to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of animal diseases. We are committed to advancing public health, food safety, safeguarding the environment, and addressing zoonotic and endemic diseases. By integrating clinical training, scientific research, community engagement, and continuous education, we aim to support the growth of domestic and pet animal health, aimed protect human health, and contribute to the sustainable development of our society.
Our Objectives
- To deliver comprehensive education in veterinary medicine and surgery over a five-year program that meets academic and professional standards.
- To provide hands-on clinical experience through diagnostic and treatment services delivered by faculty and students.
- To offer expert consultation to livestock and pet animal owners, poultry producers, and animal husbandry projects for optimal development.
- To protect human health by controlling zoonotic diseases transmitted between animals and humans..
